Welcome...you have some REALLY cool photography! I love military stuff...and I'm curious, what living history units are you part of? Do you do it as a profession or as a hobby?
I used to do Civil War with the 7th Ky out of Indiana before the group broke up. I have done WWII with the 4th ID (us) and the 715th ID (german) but I havent done it in about a year because its a pain to get off work to do it. I have an ancient Greek impression, but I dont belong to a group because there really arent any around me (Closest one is in New York) so I pretty much go stag and do it at airshows and fairs for timelines and stuff like that.
I wish I could do it as a profession. Unfortunately, folks that are able to do that are very few and far between. Reenacting is not only unpaid, but you have to pay for your own stuff as well. Ive got a few thousand dollars in my gear for all my impressions.
Too bad...I guess you have to be working at a national park or a place like Colonial Williamsburg to actually get paid to do it? (I.e. be part of the exhibit and/or tour guide?)
